Bute inlet (53˚N|132˚W)-The BIRTHPLACE of Canadian glacial oceanic clay

Nestled in the majestic British Columbian coastline, Bute Inlet is the source of Canadian Glacial Oceanic Clay. The clay is collected from below the pristine waters using only ecologically friendly processes. The First Nations people of the area discovered long ago that the all-natural clay not only helps to heal cuts and scratches but also softens and smooths the skin.

Homalco First Nation

The Homalco or, ‘people of the fast-running water’ have lived in the territory surrounding Bute Inlet for thousands of years. The Homalco’s ancestors discovered the power of Canadian Glacial Oceanic Clay hundreds of years ago.

From the Harvesting to the Final Product

1) Zero Ecological Footprint

Canadian Glacial Oceanic Clay has been beneath humus for thousands of years and it is still constantly refreshed by the ocean. Therefore, every precaution is required to protect and preserve this national treasure. Under strict Canadian environmental regulations and local indigenous people’s community guidelines, Canadian Glacial Oceanic Clay is harvested with zero ecological footprint.

2) Radiation-Free Manufacturing

Besides the eco-friendly harvesting and handling, the manufacturing processes are also sanctioned by international standards associates (as shown below). The raw clay is sterilized at a high temperature instead of using chemicals and radiation; thus, the quality of the clay is preserved in its original form. We also infuse Canadian Glacial Oceanic Clay with selected organic botanical extracts to enhance the cleansing properties and fragrance. We take our organic products seriously; we do not add artificial chemicals or perfumes.

**Our manufacturer holds the highest international standards certificates.
